Passaram dois anos. Muitos são aqueles cuja ansia já não cabe no peito. Para eles este é o Festival mais aguardado. É um Boom de emoções!

Um dos maiores Festivais temáticos da europa e considerado um dos melhores, sendo procurado por milhares de pessoas que esgotam a bilheteira horas depois de abrir.

Começo este artigo por dizer que se não compraram o bilhete para este ano, podem esquecer, porque os ingressos já esgotaram em dezembro!

O Festival é diferente, irreverente. Alternativo.

Para muitos envolto em mistério e histórias, para outros um Festival para “gente estranha” e “cenas maradas”. Para essa “gente estranha” as “cenas maradas” são uma filosofia de vida. Pessoas cuja ligação à natureza não é compreendida por muitos, mas a sua paz é encontrada nessa filosofia e o Boom Festival é o materializar dessa filosofia, dessa essência, desse modo de encarar o mundo que nos rodeia e se fazer ser parte dela!

Idanha-a-Nova acolhe com orgulho este festival que é já um dos seus maiores cartões de visita na Europa, mais não seja porque a esmagadora maioria dos participantes no Boom são estrangeiros.

De 11 a 18 de agosto esta Vila no Distrito de Castelo Branco enche-se de pessoas que invadem as margens da Barragem de Idanha-a-Nova onde a arte, música, novos e velhos amigos, tempo quente, pó, encontros aleatórios.

Quem visita este Festival arrisca-se a perder a tenda, a apaixonar-se por um português ou uma portuguesa, a decidir ir até à Índia ou nunca mais ir à Índia novamente, tudo situações que contribuem para uma inesperada aventura!

Este é um Festival aberto a todas as pessoas.

Os portões abrem às 9 da manhã do dia 11 de agosto e fecham às 6 da manhã do dia 18.

Este é um evento com um alto nível de consciência ambiental pelo que a organização apela a que as pessoas optem por levar tendas e não autocaravanas até porque não há locais específicos para elas que tenham, por exemplo, eletricidade, aliás há vários avisos em relação a assuntos como os dejetos e onde podem ser depositados de modo a que não se interfira com o ambiente nem se ponha em risco a saúde pública.

A organização aconselha a que se leve uma tenda, um saco cama, colchão, e o material necessário para que se faça um espaço confortável para os dias do evento, mas todo o material deverá ser ecologicamente responsável.

Ao contrário do que se possa pensar este é um festival que também pode ser apreciado por crianças existindo uma área especial para elas chamada Baby Boom e está aberto durante o dia com uma variedade de atividades para crianças de todas as idades.

O festival tem uma área de restauração com bastante variedade de comida de todo o mundo e possui mesmo uma mercearia com produtos frescos que os participantes podem utilizar para cozinhar na cozinha comunitária.

Existem várias áreas de animação na Boomland, a Dance Temple, um espaço desenhado de forma a que os participantes possam ter uma experiência musical inovadora com ótima acústica e efeitos visuais fantásticos.

Há ainda uma área dedicada à arte com instalações de vários artistas.

A música electrónica provou ser um bom meio para se atingir outros estados de consciência, no entanto há mais no som psicadélico do que ritmos sintetizados e melodias, na área Sacred Fire os participantes poderão experienciar sons únicos!

O Liminal Village é outro dos espaços da Boomland, um local cultural e um laboratório de sabedoria onde as ideias mais radicais e o mais recente conhecimento científico converge num programa educacional e de entretenimento.

Os Chill Out Gardens são locais inspirados nos dialetos entre os jardins, arte e arquitetura e ainda a cultura psicadélica moderna. Estes são espaços ideias para o relaxamento mental e físico.

No Alchemy Circle os princípios anciãos encontram a música psicadélica moderna.

No Being Fields o convite está em conhecermo-nos e a nossa relação com o mundo e a natureza.

Há ainda uma parte dedicada à Performance com vários artistas a levarem os visitantes a mundos fantásticos.

Destaque para um Museu de Arte Visionária, um palco dedicado às danças do mundo e o Utopia Boom Landing onde podemos curar o corpo e a mente.
