Oh Meu Deus! Pelo desafio do trail!
Oh Meu Deus é já este fim-de-semana!
Preparem as sapatilhas, os calções e a adrenalina. Força nas pernas e vamos lá, temos 100 milhas, que é como quem diz, quase 161 km, para correr, e que corrida nos espera!! Vamos lá até ao maior Ultra Trail de Portugal Continental, que decorre na Serra da Estrela!
O nome desta prova diz tudo: Oh Meu Deus! Porquê este nome? Ora, são 100 milhas por entre a Serra que, garantidamente, irão arrancar muitos “Oh Meu Deus” aos participantes, alguns dos quais, frente aos desafios, apostamos, irão ter interjeições do tipo, “Oh Diabo”.
Está visto que esta prova não é para fracos, mas também já sabemos que, dos fracos não reza a história, e a verdade é que quem arrisca participar neste ultra trail é já, à partida, um corajoso!
É uma das provas mais desafiantes do país devido às características geográficas irregulares do terreno, à altitude e amplitudes térmicas.
Esperam pelos participantes um sem número de dificuldades que colocarão à prova os limites de cada um e é isso que torna esta prova tão especial!
O grande objetivo nesta prova, para grande parte dos participantes, não está em chegar em primeiro lugar, mas sim, em conseguir terminar, sinónimo que se venceu a montanha!
São cinco os desafios apresentados aos participantes, todos com saída junto à Câmara Municipal de Seia.
O desafio mais simples é a Caminhada, com uma distância entre os 8 e os 10km e tem lugar no dia 6, sábado.
A organização apresenta ainda mais quatro desafios neste ultra trail, o primeiro com cerca de 20 km, também com inicio no dia 6 de junho e com uma duração prevista de 8 horas, o segundo também a sair frente à CM de Seia a prova K70, com mais de 70 km e com uma duração prevista de 16 horas. Ainda as provas mais desafiantes, com inicio no dia 5 de junho, sexta-feira, a K100 com mais de 100 km e que tem uma duração prevista de 26 horas e a prova mais “Oh Meu Deus!”, que para muitos será mais “Deus me livre!”, a K100 milhas+ que, traduzida para metros, tem qualquer coisa como 161 km e uma duração prevista de 46 horas!
São já cinco anos de prova e esta será a Gold Edition, contando com a participação de atletas que, mais uma vez, voltam para tentar vencer a Serra.
Nesta quinta edição há algumas novidades, já que este ano não haverá apenas três lugares no pódio, mas sim cinco. Cada prova terá 10 vencedores, cinco masculinos e cinco femininos, com prémios que pretendem transparecer a resistência e a flexibilidade, a capacidade de adaptação e a lealdade que os atletas têm ao OMD e à Serra da Estrela.
Esta é uma das provas mais desafiantes do panorama desportivo nacional, e é uma boa forma de promoção da região, revelando o seu potencial para o desporto de resistência.
