UBI continua a marcar posição na qualidade do ensino

Abrimos 2017 com ótimas noticias referentes à Universidade da Beira Interior – UBI! Segundo o ShanghaiRanking, o Departamento de Ciências do Desporto da Universidade sediada na Covilhã, está entre os 100 melhores do mundo!

Em Portugal este é o terceiro melhor Departamento da área nas universidades nacionais, aparecendo, agora e pela primeira vez, neste ranking.

A UBI vê assim o seu Departamento de Ciências do Desporto entre os melhores do mundo. Para isso contribuíram os artigos publicados na base ISI Web of Knowledge, a qualidade e o número de citações dos próprios artigos e a publicação em revistas ou jornais científicos do Top25 desta área e as colaborações internacionais.

Esta é uma excelente notícia para o departamento de Ciências do Desporto e claro para a Universidade cujo ranking a coloca no topo junto das Universidades do Porto e de Lisboa.

A posição alcançada neste ranking internacional coloca a UBI num patamar de excelência que irá ser fundamental para os Mestrados e Doutoramentos, assim como para os cursos de 1º ciclo.

O Departamento de Ciências do Desporto integra a Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas e ministra a Licenciatura em Ciências do Desporto (1.º Ciclo), os mestrados em Ciências do Desporto e Ensino de Educação Física nos Ensinos Básico e Secundário (2.º Ciclo) e Doutoramento em Ciências do Desporto (3.º Ciclo). É, também, uma das entidades de Ensino Superior que fundaram o Centro de Investigação em Desporto, Saúde e Desenvolvimento Humano (CIDESD).
