O ronronar do motor. Damos à chave e o som percorre-nos as veias. Cresce a ansiedade e o corpo antecipa a chegada da adrenalina que em breve o irá invadir. O destino? O melhor do mundo, a paisagem irregular da Serra da Estrela. O veículo?
Só pode ser um Todo-o-terreno! Pé no pedal e lá vamos nós. Na Serra da Estrela o problema está em decidir qual o percurso, a única garantia que temos é que seremos invadidos por uma onda de epinefrinas que nos fará tão felizes!
Partimos pelo asfalto até ao nosso destino. Pelo caminho somos acompanhados pelas paisagens da Serra. É primavera e a montanha enche-se de cor. Abrimos a janela do jipe e deixamo-nos abraçar pelo vento fresco que se junta ao calor do sol numa sinfonia perfeita.
A primavera é das alturas ideais para pegar no jipe, juntar alguns amigos e partir à aventura, descobrindo caminhos e novas paisagens, e a Serra da Estrela consegue surpreender-nos sempre, seja pela fauna ou pela flora, seja pelas pequenas nuances de luz e cor que bailam por entre a vegetação, seja pelo cantar dos cursos de água que serpenteiam a Serra.
Subimos pela montanha, saímos do asfalto e entramos pela serra dentro. Calmamente enfrentamos os socalcos do terreno, não por medo mas porque devagar apreciamos a paisagem com a devida calma. Deixamos o pó atrás de nós a marcar o caminho, passamos por cursos de água e sentimos o salpicar das gotas no rosto.
Parámos. Saímos do jipe e aproveitamos para sentir o sol percorrer-nos o corpo, aquecendo a alma e enchendo-nos de energia.
Ao longe uma águia voa, e com sorte poderemos ver uma ou outra raposa. Sacamos da máquina fotográfica e fazemos uns cliques, tentamos captar os momentos, prender a paisagem para mais tarde relembrarmos este dia.
Entramos novamente no jipe, apertamos os cintos e continuamos a nossa viagem. Subimos o mais alto que podemos, hoje queremos estar perto do céu e na Serra da Estrela há vários locais onde podemos ter essa sensação quase vertiginosa de estar no topo do mundo, e que mundo maravilhoso é. À nossa volta a paz dos dias da Serra, o silêncio ensurdecedor da natureza. Sabemos que temos de voltar, mas a vontade é pouca.
Ao entardecer regressamos, as cores mudam, a luz transfigura-se e somos espetadores privilegiados de um espetáculo capaz de nos fazer parar a respiração e levitar.
Voltamos ao asfalto. A noite já caiu. Pelas bermas da estrada conseguimos vislumbrar pequenos brilhos, são olhos que correm pelos caminhos e se refugiam nos campos envoltos pelo negro da noite. Podemos parar e ouvimos os pios dos pássaros que se preparam para dormir. Ouvimos o concerto das cigarras, e os ruídos dos animais da noite que se juntam ao ronronar do motor.
Desligamos o motor.
Voltaremos em breve.
O TT na Serra é mais que um desporto, mais que um passatempo. Quando experimentamos a certeza é de que se instalará uma ansia constante que só desaparecerá quando voltarmos a entrar no jipe, ligarmos o motor e seguirmos pelo caminho que a serra escolher para nós nesse dia.
